What is NARHA? 

NARHA celebrates ability, optimism, diversity and a shared loved of equine. It is an international voice of the equine assisted activities and therapies industry.  As the premier professional membership organization NARHA advocates for equine assisted activities and therapies (EAAT) and provides standards for safer and enabling equine interaction, through education, communication, standards and research for people with and without disabilities. 

Currently, with more than 6,000 individuals at nearly 800 NARHA member centers, NARHA changes and enriches lives of more than 40,000 individuals with and without special needs annually.  Since 1969, NARHA has represented a growing number of EAAT including; riding, equine facilitated psychotherapy, hippotherapy,, driving, interactive vaulting, competition and other therapeutic and educational interactions with horses.
